Refund & Cancellation Policy

We do not handle travel bookings or payments. Refund and cancellation requests belong with the travel partner you booked with.

The short answer

Wings of Wind LLC does not sell travel products or services to readers, does not take bookings or reservations, and does not process payments of any kind through wings-of-wind.com. Because travel services are not purchased from us, there is no refund process, and there is nothing to cancel with us other than an optional email subscription. This page explains that plainly and points you toward the right place to go if you are actually looking for a refund or cancellation from a company you paid.

The site is free to read

Every article and guide on this site is free to read. There is no paywall, no subscription fee, no membership charge and no purchase required to access any content. Signing up to our newsletter does not cost anything and is entirely optional.

Why we mention refunds at all

Some readers arrive at our guides while planning a real trip, and may later look for a refund or cancellation page out of habit, or because something has gone wrong with a booking made elsewhere. We want to be completely clear: that booking was not made with us, and we have no ability to cancel it, refund it, or change it, because we were never a party to it.

If you paid an airline, railway, hotel or agency

If you have booked flights, trains, accommodation, tours or any other travel service directly with an airline, railway operator, hotel, travel agency or similar provider, that provider is the only party that can issue a refund or process a cancellation. To pursue a refund or cancellation with them:

  • Find the specific terms and conditions that applied to your booking, usually sent in your confirmation email or available on the provider's own website.
  • Contact the provider you actually paid, using the customer service channel they specify, not a general travel website.
  • Keep written records of your booking confirmation, payment receipt and any correspondence, in case you need to escalate the matter.
  • Check the timing rules that apply, since many refund and cancellation rights depend on how far in advance you cancel or how quickly you report a problem.
  • Check whether you have travel insurance or card purchase protection that could cover your situation, and contact that provider separately if relevant.

We cannot act on anyone's behalf

To avoid any confusion, Wings of Wind LLC cannot cancel a booking on your behalf, cannot request a refund from a third party on your behalf, and has no access to any third party's booking systems or payment records. If a company suggests otherwise, please verify directly with that company rather than assuming we are involved.

The one thing you can cancel with us

The only ongoing arrangement we have with readers is the email newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter email, and this takes effect immediately with no fee or process attached. If you are having trouble unsubscribing, please contact us through our contact page.

Where to get more help

If you are unsure whether a question belongs to us or to a third party provider, visit our support page for general guidance, or reach us directly through the contact page and we will do our best to point you in the right direction, even though we cannot resolve payment or booking issues ourselves.

Advertising banners and affiliate links

This site displays paid advertising banners via Travelpayouts. Clicking a banner opens the travel partner's website through a tracking link, and the partner may set a referral cookie. We may earn a commission from a resulting booking at no extra cost to you. We never share visitors' email addresses or personal data with advertising partners.

Any booking is a contract with the partner, not Wings of Wind LLC. The partner's terms and privacy policy apply, and all refund or cancellation requests must be made to the partner.
